This eight-week course introduces the Alexander Technique as a practical toolkit for enhancing vitality and deepening presence. This class is perfect for actors who want to bring greater ease and effortlessness to their performances. Self-identified “non-actors” are also welcome, as the benefits of the Alexander Technique extend far beyond the stage, supporting improved coordination, alignment, and ease of movement in everyday life.
Featuring hands-on work from the instructor, classes will explore basic principles of dynamic postural alignment so you can learn to allow your head, neck, and back to work together naturally and move with greater freedom and efficiency. Each session builds body awareness so you can access your full instrument in auditions, rehearsal, and performance. This class includes working with text, building your movement vocabulary, and freeing your voice.
