I took my first Green Shirt class in 2012, a few months after I was cut from the acting program at The Theatre School at DePaul. What drew me to Green Shirt - and what’s kept me here for 14 years - is its welcoming community of deeply curious people dedicated to studying the craft of acting.

Since taking ownership of the school in 2019, I’ve dreamed of creating an alternative to a traditional conservatory outside the academic setting - somewhere a student can receive the same quality of training they’d find at a university, without the enormous barriers that often come with that path.

In Summer 2025, three Green Shirt instructors and I began planning the Green Shirt Conservatory, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome our first cohort in September 2026. I hope it becomes a space where actors turn aspirations into action, learn how to sustainably integrate being an actor into their lives, and build careers that truly serve them.
