Claire recently became a certified instructor of the Meisner Approach and adds this credential to her years of directing and teaching experience. She holds a BS in Theatre from Northwestern University, where she focused her degree on directing. She has assisted premiere directors such as Barbara Gaines, James Bohnen, and David Bell in Chicago and New York City. For the last two years, she was the Theatre Director and an English/Theatre Instructor at an independent school in Pittsburgh, where she taught the theatre curriculum, directed straight and musical productions, and taught English classes as well. Claire is also a published poet and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. In June 2011, Claire returned to Chicago after five years in other cities, and she’s overjoyed to be back in the windy city and have the chance to share Meisner technique with new students at Green Shirt!
