To act, you have to be able to book the job first. Having solid monologues in your audition repertoire is often the key to opening that door. In this ten week class, you will develop the skils necessary to reliably find, cut and rehearse monologues for theater and film auditions. In this 6-week class, working (and regularly auditioning) actor, Michael McKeogh, will guide you each step of the way, from monologue selection and editing thru shaping your work into a dynamic audition package. You will leave the class with one fully rehearsed contemporary monologue and the skills to find and rehearse monologues for the rest of your career.
Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. from July 22-Aug. 26.
**Take this class along with The Business of Acting in Chicago class (Saturdays, 3:30-5pm) for a $75 discount combo rate.
